We hear the worst-case coronavirus scenarios because the media wants our economy to collapse in order to keep President Donald Trump from winning a second term. They don’t care about what happens to people. If they can create enough chaos, they could ultimately destroy our republic.

There’s a whole lot of pork in that Senate coronavirus relief bill and no doubt the House will add something too. They tried holding it hostage but, thankfully, there was enough outrage by even their own party compelling them to back off. They didn’t cede the war, just the battle. In the end they got some of the pork that they wanted. It’s still a Dumpster fire but not the disaster it would have been.

Folks are Freaking Out Over the ‘Pandemic’

All “pandemic” means is that it’s in more than one area or country. Local disease outbreaks are called epidemics. When an epidemic is no longer local and shows up in several regions or countries, it is then considered a pandemic.

The word pandemic is not a measure of lethality or virulence. It is an indicator of spread. Calling COVID-19 a pandemic doesn’t mean that it’s really bad. It just means that it’s no longer localized. We have influenza pandemics every year, and very few countries and governments freak out to the unprecedented levels we’re seeing now, especially when influenza has killed a lot more people over the season than the coronavirus.

I’m not marginalizing anyone’s death, but this losing of everyone’s global minds over a word is doing far more damage to everyone than the coronavirus.

Is It Bad Enough to Shut Down Society?

There are bad pockets, especially New York and Washington, but much of the country is barely affected, which is why the entire country should not continue to be shut down.

They have just tested more people in eight days than South Korea tested in eight weeks, and the results were promising. Ninety percent were not infected at all, and of those who were infected, the recovery rate was allegedly 98%. So that reality is not in line with the hysteria that the liberal media has created and is trying to stir unrelentingly.

All They Care About is Damaging Trump’s Re-election Chances

Do you think the media has blown the coronavirus out of proportion?

Vulnerable people will have to continue to isolate themselves. Still, younger people and those who are healthy, especially in areas that are not hard-hit, should be able to return to work and get the economy going again before this turns into a recession that is far more destructive than the death toll from the Wuhan virus. It has all been politicized because this is an election year and Orange Man Bad.
