We all know that hospitals in communist countries are so superior to U.S. hospitals that most celebrities go to them when they get sick, right? Of course.

In that spirit, communist Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is proposing that the federal government take over all private hospitals for the duration of the fight against the coronavirus. Bette Midler, Jon Cusack, and Michael Moore will no doubt approve.

Do you think she’d have them revert to private hands after the coronavirus has dissipated? Uh-huh, you’re right. This is just the latest in a series of proposals from her, Sanders, AOC, Tlaib and their ilk to use the public health issue to gain the power they can’t acquire at the ballot box.

We just saw House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) try an end run around President Trump and the American people by attempting to insert socialist budget measures into the coronavirus economic rescue package. She got sacked by GOP Senate linebackers. But that won’t stop them from trying again.

As the fall election approaches we will hear more remedies that smack of undiluted communism dressed up in liberal garb. Airlines, power companies, cruise ship lines, and any other firm that needed and got help during this crisis will be on the nationalization list for Omar and AOC. They will say, “Well, since the taxpayers have already invested billions the ‘people’ own it already. So, why don’t we just make it official and control Boeing, Carnival, etc. outright?”

The obvious answer is that, one, these are loans not buyouts.

Two, when they pay back the loans the taxpayers will make a profit, thus again showcasing the win-win aspect of the free market system. However, logic will have no effect on their pitch. They know that many voters feel, not think, and thus are perfect patsies for this message.

Sadly for the socialists, it is unlikely that a majority of the American people are that gullible.
