Singer and actress Cher has been relentlessly attacking Donald Trump for years, but her deranged assaults on the President Donald Trump have escalated in recent weeks amid the coronavirus pandemic. On Friday night, one week after she demanded Trump be forced to step down because he would kill thousands of Americans, Cher went so far as to call the president “a murderer.”

“trump HAS ACCESS 2 EVERY MASK, SHIELD, GOWN, GLOVE, BED, VENTiLATOR, RESPIRATOR, TEST KIT, NATIONAL GUARDSMAN, SOLDIER FROM ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, NURSES, DR.’S, TECHS, 1ST RESPONDERS NEEDED 2 SAVE THE LIVES OF CORONAVIRUS PATIENTS, & CAREGIVERS,” Cher wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted. “Trump IS A LIAR, & MURDERER. OPEN UR.”

As you can see, Cher’s style of tweeting leaves much to be desired. The many grammatical errors and random capitalizations just serve to make her tweets against the president look even more deranged.

Of course, President Trump is not a murderer and is not responsible for the coronavirus. Cher would do well to remember that the U.S. is one of many countries around the globe that is struggling to deal with the coronavirus, and Trump is in just as difficult a position as all other world leaders are right now.

Now is not the time for name-calling, political games, and slander. We should all be putting politics aside to fight this virus together, yet Cher is trying to divide us further by nonsensically blaming Trump for everything possible.

Unfortunately, this kind of behavior is no surprise coming from Cher. On Thursday, she took to Twitter to reveal how she would have handled this crisis as president—a terrifying thought in and of itself.

“IF I WAS PRESIDENT WOULDN’T LIE 2 AMERICA 4 MONTHS,BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT STOCK MARKET 2DROP. WOULDN’T MAKE JARED KUSHNER VIRUS CZAR, WOULDNT LIE ABOUT # OF TEXT KITS(WE NEVER GOT)SAY “ITS DEM HOAX”,WOULDN’T HANG GOVERNORS & MAYORS OUT 2 DRY,&LIE,LIE,LIE. I’D BE A HUMAN BEING,” she wrote.

In this time of fear and self-quarantining, we should all be counting our blessings when we can. It’s safe to say that one thing we can all be thankful for right now is that we don’t live in a country with Cher for a president!
