Very few media outlets have been as loyal to the Democrats as has been MSNBC. Their cable news operation has been a Pravda mouthpiece for Democrat talking points.

Not so much anymore.

Chief MSNBC pundit and longtime Democrat pro Chris Matthews said Saturday, “I’m wondering whether the Democratic moderates want Bernie Sanders to be president. That’s maybe too exciting a question to raise. They don’t like Trump at all. Do they want Bernie Sanders to take over the Democratic Party in perpetuity?” he said.

He continued.

“I mean, he takes it over, he sets the direction of the future of the party — maybe they’d rather wait four years and put in a Democrat that they like.” That’s a theory LifeZette has wondered about as well.

Matthews went on to compare the fall of the party to Bernie Sanders and his socialist hordes to the fall of France to Hitler in 1940.

Yes, there is a disturbance in the Force.

Without the major media, filled with Democrat pros like Matthews and George Stephanopoulos, in their corner in November the Democrat nominee would be shorn of their most effective and wide-ranging propaganda tool.

For Matthews, and no doubt he cleared the line with others, to come out with this statement, something Jim Carville has been saying for weeks and Bill Clinton has been saying for years, is a shot aimed directly at Sanders. Knowing the Sanders people, they will react in accordance with Newton’s Third Law: For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction.

In fact, Bernie has recently said he thinks Fox News has been fairer to him than the rest of the media. Well, of course.

Conservatives and the president, who sent kudos to Sanders on his Nevada win, want to run against Sanders in the fall for obvious reasons. Making nice with him now will just rub salt into Democrat wounds and add an amusing factor to the emerging Democrat civil war.

The winner so far of that war?

Sanders, and by that, we mean Trump.
