Former Vice President Joe Biden suffered yet another humiliating gaffe this week when he bizarrely claimed to have worked on the 2016 Paris Climate Change Accord with Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, who had died 19 years earlier in 1997.

While speaking at the College of Charleston on Monday, Biden boasted about his two terms serving as Barack Obama’s vice president, arguing that this gives him the necessary experience to be president. He then shifted to talking about the work he did on the Paris Climate Accord, which Donald Trump withdrew the U.S. from just after he took office, according to Newsweek.

Biden was trying to use his efforts on the agreement as evidence that he can work well with various world leaders, but this backfired on him hard when he claimed that he worked on the deal with former premier Deng Xiaoping, who died in 1997.

“One of the things I’m proudest of is getting passed, getting moved, getting in control of the Paris Climate Accord,” Biden said. “I’m the guy who came back after meeting with Deng Xiaoping and making the case that I believe China will join if we put pressure on them. We got almost 200 nations to join.”

It was actually current Chinese President Xi Jinping who led China in joining the Paris Climate Accord. Deng was the leader of China from 1978 to 1992, and during that time, the Communist Party opened China to foreign investment, causing the economy to boom.

Biden’s campaign has yet to comment on whether he simply mixed up the two leaders or was referring to someone else entirely.

This is far from the first gaffe to plague Biden, as they seem to be happening on a daily basis at this point. During last night’s debate, Biden outrageously claimed that 150 million people have been killed by guns since 2007.

“150 million people have been killed since 2007 when Bernie voted to exempt the gun manufacturers from liability,” Biden said. “More than all the wars, including Vietnam, from that point on, carnage on our streets.”

The Centers for Disease Control states that there were 14,542 gun-related homicides in the U.S. in 2017, which was the highest total in over 40 years. That next year, that number dipped to 13,958, so Biden’s figure is far from being accurate.

With these frequent gaffes, Biden is showing that he is simply unfit for office. Can you imagine what would happen if it was Trump that was making all these mistakes? The media would completely lose their minds and be all over directing every single gaffe. Since Biden is making the mistakes, however, he is being given an effective free pass by the mainstream media.

If this is what Biden’s mental state is like right now, we can only imagine how bad it would be after four years being president of the United States.
