When they get together to have a laugh, what do CNN pundits think is hilarious to the point of tears?

You.

In a moment recalling the political genius of the “deplorable” moment that motivated so many Americans to vote against Hillary Clinton, CNN pundits Don Lemon, Wajahat Ali, and Rick Wilson broke down into gales of laughter at the expense of Trump supporters and anyone else who doesn’t follow the CNN line with a goose-stepping gait.

The fun started when Wilson said of Mike Pompeo, “He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world. And so that’s partly him playing to the base and playing to their audience. You know, the credulous boomer rube demo that backs Donald Trump.”

Lemon began to hysterically laugh, literally crying with mirth. Wilson went on in his impression of what he thinks a Trump voter sounds like, “Donald Trump’s the smart one — and y’all elitists are dumb!'” As Wilson mocked a lot of America with a heavy southern accent courtesy of years of watching cartoons, the laughter went on.

“You elitists with your geography and your maps- and your spelling!'” said Ali, joining in the revelry.

“Your math and your reading!'” Wilson retorted. “All those lines on the map!'”

“That was good,” Lemon finished up. “That was a good one. I needed that.”

No doubt Lemon did need the laugh, as with a gay sexual harassment charge pending against him he must have a lot on his mind. Wilson’s lines are sad examples of a man who is so desperate to fit in with his new masters, he used to be a very unsuccessful GOP operative, that he’ll do or say anything to ingratiate himself.

That kind of groveling to CNN may get him a couple of new fans. But what it really will do is tell CNN and their ilk this guy has no spine or self-respect, that they can do anything they want to him and he’ll merely smile and say, “Thank you sir! May I have another!?”

As for Ali, who cares? After all, not exactly a person of note.

The RNC must be happy for the early present, as you’ll see the exchange in upcoming GOP and Trump ads. Almost like a hot mike moment, through their laughter the boys at CNN let us see what they think of us and of much of America.

But something tells me they won’t get the last laugh.
