On Monday, perhaps as you read this, free men and women are standing up for their constitutional rights in the city of Richmond, Virginia.

The are opposed by a far-left governor and state legislature that aim to take away those Second Amendment rights in the name of gun control.

The lines are drawn, the die is cast.

We will put aside, for now, that gun control has been empirically proven not to work in countless Democrat-controlled cities that have enacted stringent gun control measures only to see their murder and gun violence rate stay at, or skyrocket to, stratospheric levels.

The main demarcation point today in Richmond is just how much will a society of free people tolerate? When will they decide they have had enough?

Democrats and the Far-Left know that making a wave of fake news and sensational over-reactions will only garner them temporary controversy but after the media cycle moves on they will have another gun control win to notch on their belts.

Conservatives and the GOP generally believe that the right to own guns is a constitutionally guaranteed inalienable right and the leftist attempt to curtail it, if not end it, should be opposed with much vigor.

Governor Ralph Northam (D) has taken extraordinary and overbearing steps to clamp down on those assembling to oppose him.

First, he declared a state of emergency and banned guns from a gun-rights rally.

Then he erected fencing around the rally area to enclose citizens there to oppose him like so much cattle.

He has hinted at even more measures should, by his own definition, the rally get out of hand.

But it’s not by the hand of gun rights supporters any turmoil is liable to ensue.

Rumors swirl in Richmond today of scores of Antifa and other leftist groups who will infiltrate the rally posing as gun rights supporters.

They will supposedly pick fights with their own actual supporters to highlight the alleged violent tendencies of gun rights advocates and give these patriots a PR and media black eye.

The Dems and Northam would like nothing better than to portray them that way, casting themselves as the voice of peaceful moderation on MLK Day.

The stage is set for that and more. Now the main players enter, from the right.
