Host Ricky Gervais kicked the Golden Globe Awards off with a bang tonight by sending a brutal message to Hollywood stars, the vast majority of whom are liberals.

Hollywood liberals love nothing more than using their awards shows to preach to the world about politics and the evils of Donald Trump.

Gervais, however, put them on notice that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated tonight, letting the elite stars know that nobody actually cares about their political beliefs.

Towards the end of his opening monologue, Gervais told the Hollywood actors, “So if you do win an award tonight, don;’t use it as a platform to make a political speech. You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg.”

BOOM!

Gervais hit the nail on the head with this statement.

Hollywood liberals are paid millions of dollars just to play pretend for a living, so it doesn’t take long for them to lose touch with the real world once they have “made it” in the entertainment industry.

These wealthy elitists think that they have some clue about the needs of Americans who actually work hard for a living, but they actually have no idea.

The fact that they think they can use their self-congratulatory awards shows to lecture the working class about politics is nothing short of nauseating, so we’re glad that Gervais let them know to their faces that we have no interest in hearing about their liberal elitist ideologies.

Gervais’ dig at Thunberg, the 16 year-old climate change activist who has captured the hearts of liberals everywhere, was priceless as well.

At 16 years of age, Thunberg really does know nothing about the real world, yet left-wingers hang on her every word as if she is the wisest person on Earth.

As President Trump would say: SAD!

This wasn’t the only time that Gervais pushed the buttons of Hollywood celebrities in his monologue, as he also told the liberal stars that billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself.

When this comment was then met by groans from the audience, Gervais told the stars, “shut up. I know he’s your friend, but I don’t care.”

For decades, Epstein was a major presence in liberal circles, becoming friends with prominent Democrats like former President Bill Clinton.

Epstein was also known for allegedly sexually assaulting numerous underage girls, which was something of an open secret for decades.

After Epstein was finally arrested for his crimes, he was mysteriously found dead in his prison cell in August in an apparent suicide.

Since then, however, his suicide has been called into question, with many pointing out that his death is awfully convenient for many powerful people.

Gervais put Hollywood snobs on blast with his opening monologue.

We can only hope that he continues to shut down these liberal elites for the rest of the show.
