Pelosi Finally Names Impeachment Managers for Senate Trial

Things are beginning to move quickly, even with the inevitable vote against removal on the horizon.

Speaker Pelosi just named the seven Impeachment Managers she has chosen to participate in the Senate impeachment trials.

As comes to no surprise, Pelosi’s pick for lead impeachment manager is no other than House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).

Schiff also spearheaded the impeachment process in the House.

The remaining six managers include House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (N.Y.), House Administration Committee Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren (Calif.), and Reps. Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y.), Val Demings (Fla.), Jason Crow (Colo.) and Sylvia Garcia (Texas).

All of the managers are Democrats. This could appear as if there’s a political agenda at hand because if Pelosi indeed wanted a fair trial wouldn’t she split the six managers down the partisan line?

To be fair, it is the formal job of the managers to present a case for impeachment and removal in the Senate trial.

Since there were no Republicans in the House who voted in favor of impeachment, she had no other choice.

Still, the party-line vote in the House shows obvious partisanship, just like we’ll see in the Senate vote to remove Trump, which won’t happen since you need a two-thirds majority vote to remove and the GOP has the majority.

These party-line votes are indicative of a bigger issue. Democrats hate Trump and what he stands for. Well, not so much what he stands for, but anything that has his name attached (whether good or bad) becomes bad because, well, Trump supports it.

We’ve seen these party-line votes throughout Trump’s time in office. Justice Gorsuch’s confirmation in both the Senate Judiciary Committee and the full Senate? Party-line vote.

Justice Kavanaugh’s confirmation in the Senate Judiciary Committee and the full senate? Party-line vote.

The list goes on and it all shows that Democrats still can’t get over the fact that they lost in 2016 and will throw themselves on the ground until they get their way which, from the looks of things, won’t be for another five years.
