Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar on Thursday demanded President Trump “step down” due to recent developments in the Ukraine controversy.

Omar posted a tweet referencing reports that the Government Accountability Office (GAO) had issued an opinion that the Trump administration violated the law by withholding congressionally approved aid to Ukraine.

The non-binding argument is being heralded as proof that the President committed a crime for which he is now being impeached.

The GAO admonished Barack Obama for violating the law on seven occasions and nobody trumpeted the end of the Republic.

She went on to reference statements made by Lev Parnas, an associate to Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, who said the President “knew exactly what was going on” in regards to withholding aid from Ukraine.

Parnas is currently under federal indictment for making false statements and falsifying records.

“Any other president would have resigned by now,” Omar said. “Donald Trump and all who have been implicated must step down.”

The Audacity of Omar

Omar’s ridiculous comments echo the theme established by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who recently summed up the entirety of the Democrats’ impeachment sham: “It’s not a question” of “proof” it’s about “allegations.”

Omar is certainly throwing a lot of allegations out there, none of which are destined to stick to the President.

That said, you know what they say about those in glass houses.

While President Trump has been exonerated in investigation after investigation, Omar herself is currently being investigated by multiple federal agencies for alleged crimes ranging from perjury to immigration fraud and even possibly bigamy.

When will she be stepping down?

Omar Shares Story Calling Soleimani’s Killing ‘Immoral’

Representative Omar, on the same day she insisted President Trump resign, shared a ‘letter to the editor’ in the New York Times that referred to the killing of Iranian terrorist Qassem Soleimani as “immoral” because he was an “important military leader.”

“The administration recently announced that, on orders of the president, the United States had ‘taken out’ (which really means ‘murdered’) an important military leader of a country with which we were not at war,” the letter reads.

“As a Harvard Law School graduate who has written extensively on the subject, I view such immoral action as a clear violation of national and international law.”

Omar retweeted the author’s message and encouraged others to do so as well.

Omar has been a proponent of limiting the authority of the commander-in-chief when it comes to strikes against terrorists like Soleimani.

She’s also been caught laughing and fooling around when others are talking about American military casualties in the Middle East, of which that ‘important military leader’ was responsible for many.
