While appearing in a “Dr. Oz” special that aired today, former New York City Medical Examiner Dr. Michael Baden said that after examining the autopsy results of Jeffrey Epstein, he believes the billionaire pedophile was likely murdered.

Baden explained that Epstein had burst capillaries in his eyes when he was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell back in August, adding that these capillaries typically only burst during manual strangulation, rather than during a suicide by hanging. The pathologist went on to cite the fact that Epstein’s lower extremities were pale and not purple or bluish as additional evidence that he did not commit suicide.

“The blood settles after we die,” Baden said, according to The New York Post. “The so-called lividity, if you’re hanging, the lividity is on the lower part on the legs. These would be like maroon/purple, front and back and they aren’t.”

Dr. Mehmet Oz, the host of the daily talk show, then showed some graphic images of Epstein’s eyes after his death.

“These little hemorrhages, tiny little blood splotches. What do these particular hemorrhages, burst blood vessels, tell you? Why is it a red flag?” he asked the expert.

“In a hanging, the arteries and the blood vessels, the veins are both clogged off and the person is pale. The face is pale,” replied Baden, who was hired by Epstein’s brother Mark to look deeper into the autopsy after the disgraced billionaire’s death was officially ruled a suicide.

“With a manual strangulation, there’s a backup of a pressure and the little capillaries can rupture and they’re best seen in the eye,” the pathologist continued, adding that it is “very unusual, especially in a prison situation” that an official cause of death was changed from being ruled inconclusive to a suicide.

“The initial death certificate was issued at the time of the autopsy, it’s pending further study, getting more information. Five days later it was changed to hanging suicide and one of the things the family wishes to know, the estate wishes to know is, what was that additional information that caused them to change it when five months later and the family still doesn’t know what happened to in the first encounter and what happened to him when he was found dead.”

This is not the first time that Baden expressed his belief that Epstein was murdered. During an interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes” a few weeks ago, the doctor said that “the forensic evidence released so far, including autopsy, point much more to murder and strangulation than the suicide and suicidal hanging.”

Epstein was facing multiple charges involving sex with underage girls when he was found dead in his cell over the summer. Prior to his arrest, Epstein had close connections to powerful men like Prince Andrew and former President Bill Clinton, and it was believed that some of these famous figures could have been involved in his sex crimes.

Many have pointed out that Epstein’s sudden “suicide” was awfully convenient for various wealthy men who would hypothetically have the power and connections to have Epstein killed in a way that could be made to look like a suicide.

Since Epstein’s death, conspiracy theories have been running rampant that he was murdered, and Baden’s latest comments only adds credence to these theories. At the very least, Epstein’s case should be reopened so that a fresh set of eyes can examine the evidence and assess whether he committed suicide or not.
