The lawyer for Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard claims Hillary Clinton has twice refused legal papers associated with a lawsuit against the former First Lady.

Gabbard filed a $50 million lawsuit against Clinton last week over comments insinuating the Representative from Hawaii was a “Russian asset” being used to help rig the presidential election in favor of Donald Trump.

Brian Dunne, an attorney representing Gabbard, suggests Clinton is intimidated by his client.

“I find it rather unbelievable that Hillary Clinton is so intimidated by Tulsi Gabbard that she won’t accept service of process,” Dunne told the New York Post. “But I guess here we are.”

Dunne claims papers were attempted to be delivered at Clinton’s home in Chappaqua, but the process server was rebuffed by Secret Service agents. A second attempt was made with her lawyer in Washington, D.C., but he claimed he could not accept the paperwork on Clinton’s behalf.

Gabbard’s attorneys are plotting other methods to deliver the legal documents.

Clinton’s Smear Tactics

The dust-up between Gabbard and Clinton began when the latter accused the former of secretly plotting to throw the election to President Trump by running as a third-party candidate.

“She is a favorite of the Russians,” Clinton said clearly referencing Gabbard. “They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far. That’s assuming Jill Stein will give it up, which she might not because she is also a Russian asset.”

Clinton’s defense has been that she did not specifically reference Gabbard by name.

However, when asked afterward if she was speaking of the Representative, a spokesman for Clinton said: “If the nesting doll fits.”

Tulsi Fires Back

Gabbard and President Trump have found common ground in denouncing Clinton’s accusations as mildly unhinged.

“I have dedicated my entire adult life to serving our country,” Gabbard said, “and for Hillary Clinton and her powerful allies to attempt to smear me and accuse me – really implying that I’m a traitor to the country that I love – is something that I cannot allow to go unchecked.”

For his part, the President was glad Clinton’s accusations were revealing a side of her that Democrats, aside from Gabbard, haven’t acknowledged.

“I said, wait a minute, it took me two-and-a-half years,” he said after hearing the comments. “I wish she would have said that earlier because people … have realized she is crazy. She’s crazy.”

Gabbard has fought back against Clinton in other arenas as well, recently telling her to “grow up” after the former two-time presidential loser claimed everybody hates Bernie Sanders.
