Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden, in the span of one sentence, compared President Trump to the KKK during a sermon to a black church in South Carolina.

Biden delivered his remarks in front of a predominantly black congregation at Bethlehem Baptist Church, railing against the President for allegedly fomenting an atmosphere of hate in America.

“This president and his – the Ku Klux Klans and the rest of them, they think they’ve beaten us again. But they have no idea – we’re just coming back,” Biden told attendees according to the New York Times.

And his what, Joe? His supporters? His voters? It sounds like the ‘deplorables’ version 2.0.

Biden’s fiery sermon pivoted to an old standby lie he’s been telling since he announced his presidential bid – the Charlottesville hoax.

“I thought you could defeat hate,” he lamented. “But hate only hides. It never fully goes away.”

He mentioned President Trump’s commentary in the aftermath of Charlottesville and the media-driven narrative that he defended the actions of neo-nazis at a rally in 2017 which led to the death of Heather Heyer.

“And they asked the president what he thought, and he said, ‘There were very fine people on both sides,'” he claimed.

In reality, within seconds of making the ‘fine people’ comment referring to the peaceful protestors in Charlottesville at that press conference, the President specifically called out the bigots at the rally.

“I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists,” Trump said, “because they should be condemned totally.”

This isn’t the first time Biden has played the race card to a black crowd.

The former vice-president is, after all, the same man who famously told a predominantly black group in 2012 that then-presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Republicans were “going to put y’all back in chains.”

While Biden is busy casting Trump and his supporters as racists, he has praised the late Senator Robert Byrd, a one-time top officer in the Ku Klux Klan as “a very close friend of mine, one of my mentors.”

Video surface last month of Biden praising a pro-Confederacy group who prominently displayed the Confederate flag as “fine people.”

And Biden has the audacity to speak of Trump and his supporters in the same breath as the KKK? Can you imagine if the President had these incidents in his past, what the media outrage would be?

Perhaps when Biden spoke of ‘defeating hate,’ he was looking in the mirror.
