Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) is dropping out of the 2020 presidential race, she told staff on a call on Tuesday, Politico is reporting as of Tuesday just after 1 p.m. ET.

“She will release a video momentarily announcing her plans,” the outlet also said in a brief news item.

The Fox News Channel also confirmed this Harris information at 1:12 p.m. on Tuesday.

She had dropped to 3.4 percent in the Real Clear Politics average — which is way below others such as Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and others.

“I think [former Vice President Joe] Biden hurt her tremendously in regard to the black vote … In the last few months, we didn’t see her moving in the right direction,” said Scott Bolden, a political and legal analyst, on Fox News early on Tuesday afternoon.

“This was predictable,” said Dan Henninger, Wall Street Journal editorial page deputy editor, said on Fox News as well.

Henninger also said, “She was appealing [early on] to the Left” — then others took that over.

“But [former Vice President] Joe Biden was holding onto the center, and there was really nothing else in between” left, he also said.

The Los Angeles Times put it this way on Tuesday: “Ultimately, her run foundered with a muddled purpose, campaign in-fighting and an inability to sustain support from vital Democratic voting blocs, particularly African-Americans.”

“In an email to supporters, Harris blamed her campaign’s end on a lack of money,” the outlet also noted.

“I’m not a billionaire,” Harris wrote — clearly in a swipe at either President Donald Trump, new 2020 primary candidate Michael Bloomberg — or both .

“I can’t fund my own campaign,” she also wrote. “And as the campaign has gone on, it’s become harder and harder to raise the money we need to compete.”

“In good faith, I can’t tell you, my supporters and volunteers, that I have a path forward if I don’t believe I do. So, to you, my supporters, it is with deep regret — but also with deep gratitude — that I am suspending my campaign today.”
