President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump shared a lovely message of unity and respect this Christmas of 2019 for all Americans.

“We give thanks for the millions of Americans who come together to care for others with compassion and bring the warmth and bliss of this holy season to our families, our friends, our neighbors, and to those in need,” said the president in part during a recorded message for Americans this Christmas season.

He also stressed the “bonds that unite us” in his message.

The president has been celebrating privately with his family down at Mar-a-Lago this Christmas.

However, the impeachment debacle and the upcoming action in the Senate are clearly not far from his mind.

He said this week that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif. ) hates the Republican Party and all Trump voters — and complained about the current stalemate over impeachment, as Fox News and other outlets reported.

Pelosi, of course, as of this moment has refused to transmit the two weak articles of impeachment over to the Senate for handling, in a bid to extract terms as favorable as possible to the Democrats and against Trump for the potential Senate trial there.

Some within the GOP charge her with abusing her power — and that any such trial in the Senate is not her jurisdiction at all.

Rep. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) — one of the moderate members of the GOP whose views on impeachment are being watched very closely on both sides of the aisle — told a local TV station this week she was “disturbed” at hearing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) say he was going to coordinate closely on any Senate trial or activities on impeachment with the White House, Fox News reported.

“To me,” Murkowski also said, speaking of the Senate’s constitutional responsibility in the process, “it means we have to take that step back from being hand-in-glove with the defense. And so I heard what Leader McConnell had said. I happen to think that that has further confused the process,” as The Hill reported of her remarks.
