Why Faith in God Is Never Misplaced

The Lord always nudges us in the directions we should go, solving problems in ways we did not necessarily imagine

There are many days when God’s Spirit prompts me to change my agenda for the day and abandon my plans for His.

When I do, I discover He is so much better at life than I am.

For example, sometimes I’ll have a project to complete or a deadline, yet God may prompt me to take the time to minister to someone rather than rush that person out the door so I can get on with my schedule.

While it’s a step of faith to set aside my “important” deadlines, it’s definitely a faith step in the right direction.

Faith in God is never misplaced.

God always takes care of what’s important — not necessarily by accomplishing my deadlines, goals and projects the way I would have — He does it much better.

When I have chosen to obey His plan, I have seen Him take a six-hour project, and make it happen in 30 minutes.

He solves problems in ways that I would have never imagined.

He removes deadlines I would have worked feverishly to accomplish. The more I abandon my own plans for God’s plans, the easier it becomes to do it. He works for good in my life!

When I love God, He draws me to distraction into His amazing goodness.

The Bible says, “For those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” (Romans‬ ‭8:28‬).

Surrender to God also means we reap the goodness of obedience.

The Book of Isaiah says, “learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause…if you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land” (Isaiah‬ 1‬:16-17, 19‬).

We realize our plans aren’t nearly as important or necessary as we thought.

God always has the best plans for His children.
