Muslim Somali Woman Wins City Council Seat in Minnesota, Doesn’t Speak English in Interview

Among the few words she said in English after her victory were 'thank you, thank you so much'

Democrat Nadia Mohamed, a Somali-American and Muslim, has just won a seat on the St. Louis Park City Council in Minnesota.

She won with 63 percent of the vote, as Fox 9 noted.

She says she was called to run for office because she “realized” how much her voice was needed.

Mohamed is a 23-year-old Somali refugee who entered America when she was 10 years old.

She’s now an elected council member.

Her political goals include affordable housing and racial equity.

She would also like to address climate change.

We often hear these sort of globalist views from those who refuse to assimilate into America.

The kicker is that when she addressed supporters after her win in an interview, among the few words she said in English were “thank you” and “thank you so much.”

Why wouldn’t she speak in English?

Because many refugees refuse to assimilate, these are the types of things that are happening in these communities, as I see it.

Fox News published a story back in February of this year that detailed the following, in part:

More men and boys from a Somali American community in Minneapolis have joined — or attempted to join — a foreign terrorist organization over the last 12 years than any other jurisdiction in the country.

FBI stats show 45 Somalis left to join the ranks of either the Somalia-based Islamic insurgency al-Shabab, or the Iraq- and Syria-based ISIS combined.

And as of 2018, a dozen more had been arrested with the intention of leaving to support ISIS. Both numbers are far higher than those of alleged terrorist wannabes who left or attempted to leave the country from other areas in the country where Muslim refugees have been resettled.

In the case of the Somalis, it’s no longer just the men.

Early last year, a female was apprehended by authorities on charges of supporting providing material support to Al Qaeda and arson. (source: Fox News)
