It’s brought in $125 million in the third quarter of the year, along with the Republican National Committee.

The RNC said on Tuesday that it’s raised more than $308 million in 2019 — with $156 million in the bank.

One has to guess that at least a portion of those funds will be used to fight House Democrats’ ridiculous impeachment inquiry push, in our view.

By comparison, former President Barack Obama raised just over $70 million at the same juncture of his re-election campaign back in 2011, as a number of outlets reported.

Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale said, “President Trump has built a juggernaut of a campaign, raising record amounts of money at a record pace.”

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said the Democrats’ constant attacks on Trump were a big reason for the record fundraising numbers.

“We are investing millions on the airwaves and on the ground to hold House Democrats accountable, highlight their obstruction, and take back the House and re-elect President Trump in 2020,” McDaniel said in a statement.

The fundraising announcement coincided with Team Trump unveiling its first major campaign ad.

The ad shows multiple Democrats repeatedly threatening the president with impeachment — and notes that while Dems’ “sole focus” is attacking Trump, his only mission is fighting for “you.”

The president shared it via Twitter last week.

“This counteroffensive demonstrated what Politico reporter Alex Isenstadt called Trump‘s ‘grievance machine,’ pointing out that despite the fact that Trump faces one of the biggest threats to his presidency yet, he has been able to direct Republican anger into huge gains for his campaign” The Political Insider reported on Tuesday.

“This approach enables Trump to set the narrative on his terms and paint himself as the iconoclast that is always under attack from the ‘fake news media’ and Democratic ‘witch hunt,’ and it clearly works as they continue to perpetuate it every chance they get,” said Democratic digital strategist Tara McGowan.

She worked for a pro-Hillary Clinton super PAC in 2016.

When House Democrats announced their impeachment effort last week, the Trump campaign vowed to spend $8 million to air an ad showing that Democrats simply want to “steal” the 2020 campaign.

The RNC also promised to spend $2 million attacking Democrats and their impeachment effort.

Expect millions more to be spent before the 2020 election is said and done — and don’t be surprised if the Democrats’ attacks backfire.

Republicans are betting on it.
