Trump is due to speak at approximately 8 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. Central.

He’s expected to address a range of topics, as he often does, including initiatives for job growth in Texas, the withdrawal of troops from Syria, and the House’s impeachment inquiry against him, according to reports.

“By the time President Donald Trump speaks in Dallas on Thursday night, dozens of supporters will have waited in line to see him for more than 50 hours,” The Dallas Morning News reported earlier in the day.

“They say it’s all worth it to see the president speak at a Keep America Great Again campaign rally — Trump’s first rally in Dallas as president.”

The rally comes on a day in which Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced, after extended talks, that Turkey had agreed to a ceasefire in Syria.

Pence told reporters the two countries “have both mutually committed to a peaceful resolution and future for the safe zone, working on an international basis to ensure that peace and security defines this border region of Syria.” Pence also said Turkey and the United States had committed to “defeat ISIS activities in north Syria.” That includes an agreement to “coordinate efforts on detention facilities and internally displaced persons in formerly ISIS-controlled areas.”

Turkey, as part of this agreement, will pause all military operations for 120 hours to allow the withdrawal of YPG forces; the latter is made up mostly of ethnic Kurds, according to multiple news outlets.

“This is a great day for civilization,” Trump tweeted about the development. “I am proud of the United States for sticking by me in following a necessary, but somewhat unconventional, path. People have been trying to make this ‘deal’ for many years. Millions of lives will be saved. Congratulations to ALL!”
