Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) believes he can bring Trump down through the impeachment efforts against him.
Can he?
In a word, no.
What’s crazy about Romney these days, as we see it, is that he’s more active now than he was when Candy Crowley, then of CNN, took him down during the second 2012 presidential debate against Democrat Barack Obama.
If Mitt had this much fight in him when he was campaigning against Obama — he might have won the presidency.

First off, there actually has to be some kind of evidence of a crime, which still hasn’t been produced by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) or by any other crony in nearly three years of investigation.
We’re venturing to guess that Democrats have investigated Trump for no reason at all — and more so than any other president in this country.
Secondly, Romney couldn’t convince 18 or 19 GOP senators to wear magic pajamas let alone vote for impeachment.
“The Republican’s advisers reportedly told Vanity Fair [that Romney] ‘believes he has more potential power as a senator who will decide Trump’s fate in an impeachment trial’ instead of competing against the incumbent president in a contentious election that began with more than two dozen Democratic hopefuls,” as The Independent noted.

“He could have tremendous influence in the impeachment process as the lone voice of conscience in the Republican caucus,” one of Romney’s advisers apparently told the publication.
“Romney is the one guy who could bring along [Sens.] Susan Collins, Cory Gardner, Ben Sasse,” this adviser also said.
“Romney is the pressure point in the impeachment process. That’s why the things he’s saying are freaking Republicans out,” as The Independent also noted.
Romney, in our view, has never accepted Trump as president, even though he begged for Trump’s support to get him elected as a Utah senator.
Romney needs to switch to being a Democrat.
