Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was minding his own business, eating lunch at a restaurant in California, when he was approached and verbally attacked by two people who became irate.
One of the individuals shouted at Paul, “We’re not putting up with your Republican bulls***!”
Senior staffer Sergio Gor posted the video on Friday evening.
It shows a man standing and talking to the senator at this table, saying, “I’m not being rude. He’s a public official. I have a right to speak to him.”
Then a woman, who was apparently with the man, went up and screamed into the camera, “You just ran into two people from New York, kiddo, and we’re not putting up with your Republican bulls***!”
The man said to Paul, “All I am saying is that while you and I possibly, probably, don’t have much in common politically, all right — we are Americans.”
Gor posted the encounter on Twitter.
He wrote, “While having lunch with @RandPaul in California, we got verbally assaulted by these aggressive libs complaining about incivility. Check out the vid! #unhinged.”

The encounter comes after several other verbal attacks against Republicans in public places.
Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), to name just two examples, were accosted by members of the public while trying to eat meals with their families at various restaurants in the not-too-distant past.
