Miracles happen when we live like everything is possible with God.
Experiencing them gives us a compelling reason to stay close to Him.
In fact, we never want to live in anything less.
When I think back about the miracles God has allowed me to be part of, it motivates me to draw even closer to God — because He is the one responsible for the miracles.
I remember the incident that sparked this realization.
I was having a conversation with a very angry divorcée, and she said of her former husband, “He is impossible to love.”
Her words struck a chord in me because I’d thought that very thing about the hard-to-love people in my own life.
However, right after I finished talking to her, I noticed a text from my brother.
It was a video of my brother singing to his giggling baby — and right then, God reminded me of how, against all odds — He had made this possible.
Seven months earlier, if you had asked my brother if he believed he’d soon be singing to his 6-month-old son, he would have likely said, “That’s impossible!”
Despite wanting a child for many years, my brother and his wife were not only not expecting — they had not been looking to adopt either.
But God did what He does … and He did it beyond all expectations.

My nephew was God’s miraculous and glorious gift to them.
God’s miracles are all over the Bible.
For example, the angel who told Mary of the “impossible” pregnancy of her cousin Elizabeth said, “Nothing will be impossible with God” (Luke 1:37).
When we read passages like this in God’s Word, we tend to think God doesn’t still work miracles the way He did in the Bible.
Thus, we lose a golden opportunity to experience the wonder God has in store for us.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s our own broken heart, or whatever impossible situation we’re facing today. When God is the center of our life, we KNOW all things are possible.
He longs to give us His goodness.
When we live close to God, we are not limited by our own belief of what is possible.
We live the impossible.
