Liberal Michael Moore Labels Joe Biden ‘This Year’s Hillary’

Filmmaker and fervent anti-Trumper wants the former vice president to defend himself more vigorously against charges connecting him to his son's Ukraine company's corruption issue

Former Vice President Joe Biden has been called numerous things over the course of his political career — and that list continues to grow.

Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore labeled the 2020 Democratic candidate “this year’s Hillary” during an MSNBC interview this week.

The “Fahrenheit 11/9” director took issue with Biden’s relatively apathetic approach to denying allegations connected to his son’s business dealings in Ukraine — or what he knew of them.

In one interview, Biden said he “never” discussed those dealings with his son.

In a different interview, he said he’d talked to him a few times about it: “I talked to my son. We’ve communicated … We communicated a couple of times. ”

So what’s the real story?

“Joe Biden is this year’s Hillary,” lamented Moore during his exclusive interview on “The Beat with Ari Melber.”

“Joe Biden is not going to excite the base to get out there and vote on Nov. 3, 2020,” he also declared.

“The things that he said publicly are very strong,” Moore maintained. “But it looks like he’s not really wanting to deal with it. He’s afraid to be out there.”

Moore also said, “We need all the candidates right now — need to be unified and coming at this full force. No backing down and no trying to placate the other, and none of this, ‘Well we have to wait and see.'”

Moore was one of the few liberal personalities to predict Donald Trump would win the presidential election in 2016 — and claimed earlier on that Biden would be the one to overtake Trump in a presidential race.

He still believes that — but feels the former vice president needs to take a stronger stance on the allegations against the Biden family in order to motivate people to come out and “vote against Trump.”

The heat is on Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, following Trump’s and others’ accusations that the two Biden men were in some way involved in corruption connected to Burisma Holdings, the Ukranian natural gas company on whose board Hunter Biden sat (and pulled in $50,000 a month for doing so, although he had no experience in this area of business).

Burisma was investigated by the Ukranian government — and Joe Biden himself bragged last year on camera about having the prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, fired.

And now, a former Ukrainian prosecutor has revealed he was told to “back off” on any investigation connected to Hunter Biden’s dealings with Burisma, Fox News reported on Thursday morning — so there will be more coming on this angle for sure.

In the same MSNBC interview on Tuesday night, Moore spoke about the frenzied impeachment inquiry the House Democrats are pursuing against Trump.

No surprise Moore believes the move against the president is “an open-and-shut case.”

He suggested that for the Left, however, time is of the essence.

“If the Democrats [are going] to do ‘Mueller 2,’ that ain’t going to play well, and they’re going to lose the momentum that they need,” he said.
