President Donald Trump tweeted out a photo treatment of the dog — whom he identified as “Conan” — on Wednesday.
He said the animal will be “leaving the Middle East for the White House sometime next week!”
The photo of Conan — an obviously edited photo — shows the president giving a medal to the dog.
Trump called it a “very cute recreation” — but said the “‘live’ version of Conan” soon will be visiting Washington, D.C.
Here’s the tweet Trump sent out — and no surprise that left-wing media outlets and pundits derided him for this and anything associated with the photo almost immediately:
Thank you Daily Wire. Very cute recreation, but the “live” version of Conan will be leaving the Middle East for the White House sometime next week! https://t.co/Z1UfhxsSpT

“Conan was hurt during the mission after being exposed to live electrical wires while pursing Baghdadi through a tunnel underneath a compound in northwestern Syria,” Gen. Frank McKenzie, who leads U.S. Central Command, said on Wednesday, as Fox News reported.
The dog has worked with special operations forces for four years; she’s taken part in about 50 missions and has since returned to active duty, he also indicated.
Clearly there was enormous bravery, dedication, and sheer physical energy required of this animal to chase an evil leader of terror and mayhem into a dead-end tunnel in a dangerous part of the world — and confront the killer face-to-face.
This is what the Belgian Malinois did last weekend when, working with its military unit, it cornered al-Baghdadi in northern Syria in a dark tunnel.
The Belgian Malinois breed is described as a “world-class worker who forges an unbreakable bond with its human partner,” according to the American Kennel Club.
It’s said to be smart, confident, and versatile.
And when al-Baghdadi saw this animal-turned-machine coming at him, at that point he gave up the chase, according to reports — and detonated his suicide vest.
The man brutally killed himself and the two children with him — not three, as reported earlier, it was made clear this week. The children apparently were both under the age of 12.
If it weren’t for the bravery of this animal, not only might a killer still be alive, the military individuals at whose side the dog worked might have been injured — or far worse.
So, yes, this is a hero dog for the ages.
Here’s the tweet that Trump sent out earlier about the animal.
We have declassified a picture of the wonderful dog (name not declassified) that did such a GREAT JOB in capturing and killing the Leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi! pic.twitter.com/PDMx9nZWvw

Apparently, the dog is a female named Conan. Fitting, if you ask me. Is it possible for a dog to become a decorated soldier?
