I can’t count the hours I’ve stayed awake at night anxious and overthinking things I can’t change.

Knowing God helps me realize that I can turn these thoughts over to Him.

He gives me eternal perspective.

Jesus said, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air. They neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?” (Matthew‬ ‭6:25-27‬)

Typically the biggest monsters ruining our thoughts are actually the most trivial.

Jesus said that “life” is more than what we eat or wear.

He was giving us His perspective so we could recognize that “life” is about much more than temporal things.

He gives us this true, eternal perspective so we can let go of our anxiety — and position ourselves to live in the freedom and power of the Holy Spirit.

God is not anxious. When we live in His Spirit, we know that all things will work for good to accomplish His plans.

Evil cannot thwart God’s purpose.

He’s got it.

He does everything much better than we do, anyway.
