Singer Bette Midler responded to Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) defense of the U.S. military by praising the neighbor who violently assaulted the Republican senator in 2017.

Paul criticized the Kurds for not showing respect to our fighting men and women after video emerged of Kurdish forces throwing potatoes and other objects at troops pulling out of northern Syria.
“We saved the Kurds from being beheaded and massacred by ISIS,” Paul said during an ABC News’ “Powerhouse Politics” podcast.
The Kentucky Republican suggested they act accordingly toward the American military — who protected them for so long.
“They were able to win with our armament, with our Air Force, and they should be thanking us and throwing rose petals,” he proposed.

“And so, no, I’m offended by them throwing refuse at our troops. And it shows them to be ingrates.”
Midler, apparently taking umbrage on behalf of the Kurds, sang the praises of Rene Boucher, the neighbor who violently assaulted Sen. Paul.
Boucher attacked Paul from behind out on his lawn — leaving him with a myriad of injuries, including six broken ribs, pleural effusion, and, consequently, pneumonia that resulted in part of his lung being removed.
“I DO NOT promote violence but … Rand Paul says the Kurds are being ‘ingrates’ for taking their frustrations out on US troops,” the famed singer wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
“Which is a good reminder for us all to be more grateful for the neighbor who beat the s*** out of Rand Paul.”
It takes a special level of stupid, in our view, to promote violence in the very same tweet in which you claim to not promote violence.
The replies in this are gross. You’re ok with violence against a sitting senator? You’d be screaming if this happened to Feinstein, Harris, Blumenthal, etc and rightfully so. But it’s Rand Paul so it’s ok. You all make me sick.

This actually marks the second time Midler has revealed she’s smitten with Rand Paul’s neighbor, or at least his willingness to violently attack innocent people for seemingly no reason.
Midler took to social media after a brief government shutdown last year — a shutdown in which Paul played an integral role.
“Where’s Rand Paul’s neighbor when we need him?” she posted.
Take the meds. lady. Your doctor prescribed them for a reason.

This past July, Midler requested that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey shut down President Donald Trump’s Twitter feed until after the election, in part because of his “racist bile.”
Dear #JackDorsey, why don’t you help your country & the planet, by kicking #Trump off #Twitter? Or shutting down until the next election? You’ve made more than enough money & Trump is strangling the free world w/his racist bile. Be strong! You can improve the course of history!

Perhaps Dorsey should be eyeing her Twitter account for posting “violent bile.”

Two years ago, Midler fretted over President Trump’s supposedly leading America into World War III.
The president has referred to her as a “washed up psycho.”
She’s proving him right once again.
