Outspoken liberal and President Donald Trump impersonator Alec Baldwin said the president’s supporters need to “get rid of him” — presumably referencing impeachment or the 2020 presidential election next year — so that “good things” can come about.

“If u voted for Trump, put ur faith in him bc u thought he was a decisive, plain-speaking, self-made business ‘leader,’ now u, perhaps, realize none of that is true,” Baldwin tweeted on Wednesday.
“He is a disease that is killing this county and must be eradicated.”
“Get rid of him,” he said.
“And good things will follow.”

Baldwin has frequently gone on unhinged rants on social media and made wild claims — without much in the way of facts to back them up.
Trump is a frequent target of his — as are Republicans in general.
In June, Baldwin called former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders a “mouthpiece for fascism.”
“Who knows what the future holds?” Baldwin tweeted at former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee back then.
“I tell what it should hold. That you, who have sucked a gov’t paycheck out of the economy while you were a dreadful lt gov and then gov and that daughter of yours, a mouthpiece for fascism, that you go away.”
“Just … go away.”

In April, Baldwin even teased his own run for president.
“If I ran for president, would you vote for me?” Baldwin asked on Twitter.
He added that he wouldn’t ask for any money.
And he still vowed he could beat Trump.
If I ran for President, would you vote for me?
I won’t ask you for any $.
And I promise I will win.
Beating Trump would be so easy.
So easy.
So easy.

President Trump sometimes hits back against this nonsense as well.
In March, the president said, “Bring back Darrell Hammond, funnier and a far greater talent!”
He also mocked Baldwin’s “dying mediocre career.”
“Alec Baldwin, whose dying mediocre career was saved by his terrible impersonation of me on ‘SNL,’ now says playing me was agony,” Trump tweeted.
“Alec, it was agony for those who were forced to watch. Bring back Darrell Hammond, funnier and a far greater talent!”

A few weeks ago, Baldwin said in an interview that he believed Trump’s mental health was in decline and that the president’s alleged incompetence was “devastating” for America.
“Trump’s been in office for a while now. Incompetent is one thing. Nuts is another. Both in combination are devastating,” Baldwin said.
“But he hasn’t killed America yet. We’re like a rhino. A big, leathery rhino. He can’t kill us.”
“And he knows that and he’s scared.”
If Donald Trump is scared of anyone — it certainly isn’t Alec Baldwin or anyone he purports to represent.
