‘We Shouldn’t Want Anything Less Than God’s Best for Us’

Our strongest desires too often cloud our minds, leading us to justify bending or breaking the Lord's rules to attain what we want — but we can change that thinking

Any desire that costs us our integrity means we’re buying less than the best.

If we desire blessings from God, we must take His Word to heart.

The Bible says, “He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation” (Psalms 24:4-5).

If we are God’s beloved children, He longs to GIVE us His blessings—we don’t have to break His rules to get them.

When I think about the many desires I pursued by compromising my integrity, it is like watching a tragic movie where the only plot is self-destructive heartbreak.

When we live in it, we are blessed with a peaceful heart.

We become the recipients of the most prized blessings — those which belong to God.
