Election 2020

Trump to Hold ‘Massive Rally’ in Omar’s Minnesota District

President has his sights set on a state he narrowly lost to Democrat Hillary Clinton in 2016 — aiming to flip it in 2020 into the Republican column

Nobody on planet Earth knows how to trigger Democrats better than President Donald Trump, our America First president.

He’s driven liberals, Hollywood, the deep state, and every progressive in between completely mad, in my view.

It looks like President Trump is kicking things up a few hundred notches with this latest move.

Trump now has his sights set on Minnesota.

He just barely lost that state in 2016 to Democrat Hillary Clinton — and he and his people believe they can flip the blue state red in 2020.

If Trump flips Minnesota, it’s game over for Dems.

“Without Minnesota, the Democratic presidential candidate — regardless of who wins the primary race — would face a nearly insurmountable uphill battle,” noted Fox News. “For example, even if the Democratic challenger were to flip Michigan and Pennsylvania to his or her side, it still wouldn’t be enough to win if Trump were to hold every other state he captured in 2020 and wins in Minnesota.”

“Winning Minnesota would also mean that Trump could lose Florida and Arizona — two states he won in 2016 — and still end up with more than the required 270 electoral votes”

But of course it’s not enough to just go to Minnesota and hold a big rally, right?

It has to be bigger than that.

Trump will be holding one of his “big, beautiful” rallies all right — in Rep. Ilhan Omar’s district.

“President Donald Trump will return to Minnesota for a campaign rally next month,” noted the Star Tribune, “marking the latest volley in his bid to flip Minnesota into the Republican column in a presidential contest for the first time in decades.”

The rally is scheduled for October 10 at Target Center in Minneapolis.

“Omar responded to the news Thursday with a statement addressed to Trump: ‘Our beautiful state welcomes everyone with open arms. But to be clear: We will continue to reject you and your campaign of lies and bigotry.'”

It will “place the president squarely in a Democratic stronghold and the district of one of his frequent political targets: U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), a member of the ‘squad’ of female House Democrats of color with whom he has sparred in recent months,” noted the same outlet.

As the Star Tribune also noted, “Omar responded to the news Thursday with a statement addressed to Trump: ‘Our beautiful state welcomes everyone with open arms. But to be clear: We will continue to reject you and your campaign of lies and bigotry.'”

Republicans welcomed the announcement: “We are excited for the rally on October 10th and look forward to showing the Democrats how enthusiastic Minnesota Republicans are to send our 10 electoral votes to re-elect President Trump in 2020,” said Minnesota Republican Party Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan.

CNN recently traveled to rural Minnesota, where the network discovered that most everyone who was a Democrat is now voting for Trump.
