Just a few days from now — September 14 — is the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children.

This day of remembrance — the 7th annual such day in our nation — calls on pro-life Americans to honor the gravesites of aborted children.

“Pro-lifers are also encouraged to carry on the spiritual mission of the Day of Remembrance throughout the year by visiting a gravesite of aborted children or other memorial site to offer prayers of mourning for the victims of abortion,” say those behind the effort.

On Twitter recently, I saw a heartwarming video posted by Fox News’ Janice Dean.

It showed a sweet, precious baby girl who receives her first glasses — then sees her mother for the first time, recognizing her by her voice.

What a beautiful, precious scene it was.

Here is the baby getting her new glasses and laying eyes on her mother for the first time:

And then right after I saw that wonderful video, I came across some sickening statistics.

Should abortion be banned in the U.S.?

They broke my heart.

I read about the average number of deaths per day in the U.S. by various causes.

This is grim news indeed.

Here it is:

  • Rifles – 1 death per day
  • Teen texting and driving – 8 deaths per day
  • Underage drinking – 11 per day
  • Drunk driving – 28 per day
  • Opioids – 115 per day
  • Suicide – 128 per day
  • Flu – 150 per day
  • Diabetes – 228 per day
  • Alzheimer’s – 332 per day
  • Stroke – 401 per day
  • Accidents – 401 per day
  • Medical error – 685 per day
  • Cancer – 1,641 per day
  • Heart disease – 1,773 per day
  • Abortion – 2,408 per day

That’s right.

The leading cause of death in America every day is the abortion of unborn babies in the womb.

The mother’s womb is now the most dangerous place an American will ever be.

See the below tweet for the shocking statistics presented in a different order — as well as the sourcing for the numbers.

Look at that abortion number.

That’s about 100 babies an hour who lose their lives every single day — and we wonder why God judges us as a nation.

When we practice this level of child sacrifice, how can we expect anything but judgment?

Please join me in praying that our country will repent of this carnage — and stop the killing of the innocent unborn.
