Did you know that Wendy’s is a staunchly pro-life fast food company?
Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas was adopted — and during his lifetime, he was passionate about helping to find good homes for needy kids.
While other companies boast about their support of abortion and Planned Parenthood, Wendy’s is fervently working to push adoption as a better option than abortion. Love that!
“As an adoptee himself,” Live Action  noted in June, “Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas always held the cause of adoption close to his heart. He credited his summers in Maine with his grandmother as teaching him the value of hard work and perseverance, and his time eating in local restaurants with his father after his adoptive mother died made him value restaurants as a place of sharing and family closeness.”
“These core values led Dave Thomas to found one of the most successful fast food chains in the U.S.,” the same outlet noted, “and through his success in business, spurred him on to philanthropic advocacy. He made several trips to the White House to raise awareness about adoption and to advocate for adoption benefits for federal employees and others. In 1990, Dave was invited to the White House again to be a spokesman for a national adoption awareness campaign.”
“But Dave wanted to do more — and in 1992 he founded the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, which has been called the ‘biggest game in adoption today,’ and receives high ratings on Charity Navigator.”

Now, it’s thrilling to hear that Wendy’s will be adding 20,000 new jobs next year — as it rolls out a new breakfast menu.
“It’s a big undertaking for the fast food company,” noted WREG.com  and Tribune Media Wire about the chain’s revamped breakfast menu. “Wendy’s plans to hire about 20,000 U.S. employees for the initiative, the company said Monday … Breakfast is an important meal for fast food chains. More people prepare breakfast at home than any other meal, and the morning remains the only growth market for the fast food industry, according to research group NPD.”

“Currently, Wendy’s offers breakfast, including a bacon sandwich and a honey butter chicken biscuit, at about 300 locations. The nationwide launch ‘provides incredible growth opportunities,’ said Todd Penegor, the company’s president and CEO, in a statement,” as the same source also soted.
But while “breakfast may help drive growth … it’s a costly endeavor. The company expects to spend about $20 million to serve breakfast throughout the country, and is lowering its 2019 financial outlook. Shares dipped about 3 percent after the market closed Monday on the news.”
When you’re in the mood for fast food, please think about spending your hard-earned money at Wendy’s — because in a sea of darkness and depravity, this company is doing the Lord’s work.
