‘The Peace in My Heart Told Me God Had a Plan’

When we allow God to take control [1] of our life, He makes the impossible — possible.

He does everything so much better than we do.

It often takes many years and many failed attempts for us to habitually let God do what He does.

But we must practice if we ever expect to see Him work miracles through our life.

I often write these miracles down to reinvigorate my habits.

For example, one weekend I reserved studio time to finish recording a song. Even though it looked impossible because all week, little by little, I’d been losing my voice, I went ahead and drove 200 miles to the studio.

The peace in my heart told me that God had a plan.

I just kept asking Him, “Show me exactly what to do.”

His presence reminded me, “I love you. I’ve got this.”

When I stood behind the mike and sang the first notes of the song, “Freedom’s Dream,” I almost cried. It was probably the clearest, most pure vocal I’d ever recorded.

I could feel God’s Spirit carrying the lyrics with His powerful presence. These moments, when my heart soars in the strength of God’s Spirit, are the ones I want to repeat.

They make me feel the most alive.

There have been many miracles like this in my walk with God — but not nearly as many as there should have been

I want to grab hold of as many more as I can.

God has miracles for us to experience in every part of our life we give to Him. Why don’t we just give Him it all?

When we do, we begin to live in this promise of Jesus: “If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you’” (Matthew‬ ‭17:20‬).

Does living like nothing is impossible describe your life?

It’s a choice.

God leads us down the path of peace — even when the task seems impossible.

When we draw close to God, we learn to place our greatest faith in Him. Throughout the day, we begin ask Him, “What do I do?”

We feel Him lead us down that path of peace — even when the task seems impossible.

Jesus said, “With God all things are possible” (Matthew‬ ‭19:26‬).

When we’re close to God, impossible things ‬‬become possible.
