Speaking exclusively to LifeZette recently about her just-published book, “Radicals, Resistance, and Revenge: The Left’s Plot to Remake America,” Judge Jeanine Pirro addressed the whistleblower issue currently swirling across Washington, D.C. — and commented on former Vice President Joe Biden’s 2020 status as a Democratic candidate and how he’s being pushed now to defend his own actions with regard to Ukraine.

“My take on this is very simple. First of all, we don’t yet know exactly what was said [on that July phone call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky].”

“Any executive, and certainly the president,” she added, “has a right to ask whether or not there was any problem with [former] vice president [Joe Biden] leveraging money, a billion dollars … which he proudly admitted he did. [Biden] was pretty much saying Ukraine was not going to get that money unless a [state] prosecutor was fired,” said Pirro.

“If that is the case, then there indeed was something that should be looked at, because the prosecutor was investigating Joe Biden’s son and the company he was working for … [And] Hunter Biden had absolutely no background in energy or oil.”

“And so the president, if he did ask” about it, added Pirro, “has a right to do that. [Trump] has a right to ask. That is his job as chief executive,” she said, in terms of asking about how “American money” was used or given.

She noted there is much still unknown about the phone call.

As far as Trump’s potentially releasing specific information about that call or releasing the transcript of that phone call with the president of Ukraine, Pirro commented, “Would he be doing it pre-emptively because it’s going to be released?” If that information is released, she said, then before other world leaders would get on other calls with the president of the United States, “they are going to be concerned that information might be outed to the American people.”

“I’m sure President Trump is aware of these issues and he’s trying to balance that,” said Pirro. “The problem is that everything this man does, the Left is interested in outing or impeaching him. [In the end], he’ll make the right decision on this.”

“I do think Americans are tired of this, every minute, every day, ‘let’s impeach him’ … It’s so all-consuming.” She added that “Americans are going to resent that when they go to vote” in the next elections.

Regarding the recent surge by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in Iowa, Judge Pirro commented, “I think she’ll pass Joe Biden. I think Joe Biden is cooked,” she noted, citing “his inability to know where he is or to know what state he’s in on any given moment, literally and figuratively.”

She added, “I think his time has come and gone. And it’s got nothing to do with his age. It’s got to do with his ability.”

How do conservatives who back President Trump — and who face constant or at least frequent harassment for doing so — move forward in this fraught environment?

“I’ve never, ever known anyone to say, ‘You know what? I’m not going to talk to a Democrat because that person supported Barack Obama.’ A lot of what he [Obama] did, as far as I’m concerned, was not appropriate. But we respected him and we respected the office. But now, [during Trump’s presidency,] it’s totally different. And it’s ironic that it’s from the party that says, ‘We love everyone. We tolerate everyone.’ Yet [many Democrats] say to those on the Right, ‘We’re not going to tolerate you. We’re not going to respect your First Amendment rights. And we’re going to make sure you don’t work in this town again,’ as Debra Messing said, with her outright McCarthyism recently when she wanted to know every person who attended a Donald Trump event.”

“Are you kidding?” added Pirro. “This is not the country our Founding Fathers created.”

“The only way to respond to this is to get to the voting box and to vote the Democrats out. And to make sure that you go to school board races, local races,” added Judge Jeanine — and to stay involved and stay strong about one’s beliefs and ideas.

Be aware, she also said, that Democrat socialists are the ones who backed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) — and that they’ve done this and are doing this with other candidates across the country as well.
