Ooh, this is harsh.

On Friday morning, some co-hosts of ABC’s “The View” chat show aimed their anger straight at Julian Castro, former Housing and Urban Development secretary under former President Barack Obama, for the way he went after Joe Biden on Thursday night in Houston for the memory issues and gaffes Biden has recently suffered.

Castro is 44. And last night on stage at Texas Southern University, Castro demanded to know if Biden, 76, actually forgot what he said just minutes earlier about signing up for health care premiums.

But Castro was actually wrong.

He either misheard Biden when he spoke about his plan or purposely misconstrued Biden’s words for the sake of a verbal attack on live television.

It was a bitter and piercing barb in front of millions — and it’s been one of the most talked-about exchanges of the evening.

Those on “The View” seemed to take great exception to the way a young man went after an older man during the debate. And they were noticeably perturbed.

(Or maybe they just prefer Biden — or any Democrat, for that matter — in place of President Donald Trump?)

“This ‘old’ thing has got to stop because 25 percent of the electorate is over 65, and they vote. I’m one of them,” co-host Joy Behar declared to her television audience and at-home viewers.

“And I vote — so be careful what you do with old people because we will turn on you,” she added.

Behar then actually questioned Castro’s own mental abilities and his “powers of observation.” She said he seemed to learn nothing from the mistakes of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), whose poll numbers “went south” after she went on the offense against Biden during the first debate in June, as Fox News and other outlets pointed out.

Co-host Abby Huntsman chimed in — saying she found Castro’s attack “cringeworthy” and that last night was likely the last “nail in the coffin” of Castro’s 2020 try.

And co-host Whoopi Goldberg, early on in the segment, told Castro in no uncertain terms, “Don’t do that” — while Sunny Hostin, yet another co-host, said Castro’s attack was “stupid.”

Hostin also said she “hates ageism” and that it was “very, very tone deaf.”

“I think it was just such poor form on Julian Castro’s [part] and it’s stupid,” she added — and proceeded to list the ages of some of the other candidates (Sen. Bernie Sanders is 78, for example) as a way of putting Biden’s age in perspective.

All that said, no one can deny that Biden has had issues — including during last night’s debate, when he sometimes rambled and at one point even seemed to lose control of his false teeth. It was an uncomfortable and unnerving moment.

And noted one commenter on YouTube about “The View” co-hosts’ commentary: “Oh, please! Castro did the right thing. If your brain doesn’t work, don’t run for president. Pure and simple!”
