Trump Declares ‘War’ on Fox News: ‘Have to Start Looking’ for a Different Outlet, He Said

The president sent out a series of tweets on Wednesday that are attracting a great deal of attention

President Donald Trump fired off his most blistering shot yet this week in the brewing “war” against the Fox News network.

Fox News has been taking a turn to the Left over the past few years, as some people have pointed out.

Some insiders suspect that the “progressive” changes started just after the departure of Roger Ailes.

Back in July, Business Insider reported that Trump expressed concern that the sons of Fox owner Rupert Murdoch, who are playing key roles in running their aging father’s media empire, are “very liberal” and had asked his allies at the network whether the younger Murdochs can be trusted.

Trump took to Twitter about it.

He said Fox News is no longer “working for us.”

Here is the series of tweets:

Mediaite reported, “President Donald Trump denouncing Fox News as ‘HOPELESS & CLUELESS’ this morning drew condemnation from many circles — including from a number of Fox News personalities.”

Trump was apparently outraged by “America’s Newsroom” anchor Sandra Smith’s interview with DNC Communications Director Xochitl Hinojosa on Wednesday morning.

The results of that interview prompted the president to conclude that “Fox isn’t working for us anymore!” — and to tell his supporters to hunt for a different news outlet.

“The most prominent voices to immediately hit at Trump were Fox political analyst Brit Hume and contributor Guy Benson, both of whom noted that the network is not supposed to work for the president,” Mediaite also noted.

However, what Hume and Benson (and others) are missing is that when President Trump says Fox News is not “working for us,” he means his supporters — and he’s 100 percent correct. Fox News isn’t working on behalf of the America First conservative movement.

The battle didn’t just include Fox News pundits.

Desperate Trump-haters also jumped into the fray.

Trump has grown frustrated with Fox News after the network suspended Judge Jeanine Pirro for comments she made regarding Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) — and after it hired former DNC Chair Donna Brazile.

She is the one — while still a “journalist” — who gave a question in advance to Hillary Clinton ahead of the failed Democrat candidate’s appearance in a 2016 debate.

He has promoted conservative-leaning cable network OANN as an alternative.
