Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin, who still insists on labeling herself a “conservative blogger,” amped up the rhetoric this weekend by suggesting the GOP needs to be “burned down” until there are no “survivors.”

Rubin made the comments in an appearance on Sunday’s “AM Joy” on MSNBC.

The unhinged argument came about in the midst of a conversation about former White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, whom Rubin has held an unhealthy amount of jealousy toward for some time, in our view.

People who come from the Trump administration such as Sanders need to be made an example of, she asserted.

“It’s not only that [President Donald] Trump has to lose, but that all his enablers have to lose,” Rubin insisted. “We have to collectively, in essence, burn down the Republican Party.”

“We have to level them because if there are survivors — if there are people who weather this storm, they will do it again — will take this as confirmation that, ‘Hey, it just pays to ride the wave — look at me, I’ve made it through.'”

Rubin’s bitter shtick has been old and tired for some time, but The Washington Post shares some blame, in our opinion.

The publication appears to allow her to be advertised as a conservative when she clearly is not.

Some might say she’s just an anti-Trump conservative, to which we’d point out that no, she is most clearly on the far-Left.

In the same segment, Rubin went on to cheer a Democrat victory in 2020.

“My hope is that Democrats don’t blow it,” she openly fantasized. “My hope is that Democrats are able to pull together a coalition that’s large enough to govern, and that we can have some sane governance for a period of time.”

Rubin’s cheerleading for the Left and the vile rhetoric aimed at Trump officials isn’t a new phenomenon. Last year, this individual claimed Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s attempt to “prove” that she was a Native-American was a brilliant move.

She soon thereafter endorsed a wild conspiracy theory that President Trump planned to “resign the presidency 10 minutes before [Vice President] Mike Pence leaves office, allowing Pence to pardon him if there is not a Republican president to follow him.”

And she called on liberals to attack Sarah Sanders for the rest of her life for her role in promoting the Trump administration.

“Sarah Huckabee has no right to live a life of no fuss, no muss, after lying to the press — after inciting against the press,” Rubin alleged. “These people should be made uncomfortable, and, I think that’s a life sentence frankly.”
