Speaking exclusively to host Laura Ingraham of Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” on Thursday night, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) reacted to insults from an individual on the Left who went after him this week for his service to our country — and who attacked the U.S.

Using very foul language, the individual — Hasan Piker, a nephew of “The Young Turks” host Cenk Uygur — ranted about Crenshaw, “This guy has the understanding of foreign policy of, like, a 12-year-old. What the f***? What the f*** is wrong with this dude?”

Piker also crudely said, “Didn’t he [Crenshaw] go to war and, like, literally lose his eye because [of] some mujahideen — a brave f****** soldier … Isn’t that how he f***** lost his dumb*** eye …”

His rant went on — but further details of his off-color ravings won’t be dignified here.

Crenshaw had appeared on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” to which Piker was responding.

Crenshaw is a former Navy SEAL and served three tours of duty in Afghanistan; he lost his right eye in an IED explosion.

Astoundingly, Piker also asserted that the U.S. deserved the 9/11 terror attacks because of our “foreign policy decisions.”

“Well, he was triggered, wasn’t he?” Crenshaw said on Thursday night to Ingraham. “That is the definition of a leftist getting triggered. He doesn’t like what he’s hearing. He disagrees with it. He doesn’t understand foreign policy.”

“Yes, I have almost 12 years of experience actually deploying overseas,” Crenshaw added. “So maybe that’s what he meant when he said ’12 years.’ I don’t know. But he clearly doesn’t know much. And when you don’t know much about foreign policy, you get really mad when people disagree with you. When you can’t argue your point, you tend to insult people. Man, that is exactly the outrage culture that we have right now. He’s a perfect example of it.”

“He [is] trying to walk his comments back now. Good on him for trying to do that,” added Crenshaw. “But [his action] reflects a very deep anti-Americanism that is inherent in some of these left-wing politics. I mean, when you say ‘America deserved 9/11,’ you know, he is trying to say, ‘Well, that’s not what I meant.’ He said it was our fault, though. OK, so not a big difference.”

Crenshaw noted that this person “doesn’t understand history, doesn’t understand foreign policy. So he can’t actually make an argument to connect those two things. And he basically says that the only reason I’m making the argument is because I lost my eye? … It doesn’t make any sense.”

“If these small things get them so riled up, you know, imagine what another win in 2020 will do, when Trump wins, and I hope he does.”

Ingraham commented, “As a young man, he sounds pathetic, OK? That’s number one. And number two, I think we have to also recognize that this is … a trajectory of where we are, sadly, under this president, because they cannot stand the fact that he [President Donald Trump] has done a lot of what he said he was going to do. They can’t stand that. I don’t know what they are going to do if he wins re-election.”

“They are triggered constantly,” replied Crenshaw. “If these small things get them so riled up, you know, imagine what another win in 2020 will do, when Trump wins, and I hope he does.”

He noted that “this kind of stuff has to stop. We have to be able to have nuanced conversations, and when you are talking about ‘The Young Turks’ in particular, they are highly radical and yet, they’re given a platform by YouTube TV, which is something that is incomprehensible to me. This guy Hasan was back on ‘The Young Turks’ just now actually talking about those same comments and trying to defend them. And it’s ridiculous.”

Ingraham noted that “YouTube would never tolerate anything like that from a conservative.”

Crenshaw agreed. “Not even close,” he said.
