Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) — a member of the Democratic squad of four progressive congresswomen — insisted in an interview with The Guardian published on Saturday that President Donald Trump is “scared” of her and her fellow squad members.

She said this — with no apparent proof or evidence — after her canceled trip to Israel and the feud that followed with the president.

“It’s been very clear to me, especially this last week, that he’s scared of us,” Tlaib claimed to The Guardian.

“He’s afraid of women of color … because we’re not afraid of him and we’re not afraid to speak up and say that we have a white supremacist in the White House who has a hate agenda.”

“He’s afraid because we have a real agenda for the American people,” she also said.

Tlaib also told The Guardian that the squad’s radical ideas — such as Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and higher taxes on the wealthy — are more popular with Americans than Trump’s policies, as Fox News reported in an article about her.

All four squad members — Tlaib plus Reps. Ihlan Omar (D-Minn.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) — have been outspoken against the president ever since their election to Congress in the fall 2018 midterms.

In some cases, they spoke out against Trump before they were even elected. Many Americans feel these individuals so far have gotten little or nothing done for their own congressional districts.
