Look at what the disrespectful, hyper-confident but completely lacking-in-self-awareness “squad” and their socialist ilk are doing to America.

Insulting conservatives and Republicans and giving Democratic leadership fits, these selfish women have become the face of the neo-socialist cabal. Part of their mission has been to convince their followers it’s heroic to obstruct law enforcement officers who are trying to do their sworn duty. Well, their efforts seem to be working.

By now everyone knows about the shameful water-dousing incidents committed against several NYPD officers in Brooklyn, Harlem, and the Bronx. For this disrespectful environment, you can thank the worst mayor in America (says a lot), comrade Bill de Blasio (in my view). And like the squad, he’s also a socialist. This is the guy who felt he had to warn his biracial son about the racist NYPD cops — the cops who put their lives on the line every day to protect “Hizzoner” and the good people of New York City.

Demonizing law enforcement at any level, federal or local, has real-life consequences. You can’t call cops Nazis and accuse them of killing minorities and operating concentration camps without expecting your followers to “do something.” I mean … during WWII, wouldn’t a person have been heroic to assassinate a brutal Gestapo officer or a concentration camp guard?

Wouldn’t you have been remiss, in fact,  if you hadn’t taken action against such evil people? The Left is actually conflating law enforcement and conditions at the border today with the evil of 1930s and 1940s Nazis.

Well, now comes this disturbing story from WTVF 5 in Nashville, Tennessee. We all know that those who comprise the violent, activist arm of the Left (Antifa, BLM, etc.) have received both tacit and overt encouragement from the Democratic Party.

Now it’s no longer just organized agitators. Neighbors of an alleged illegal immigrant recently felt emboldened enough to show their “heroism.” An ICE agent was reportedly attempting to investigate a man in Hermitage, Tennessee, for whom a federal court had issued an administrative warrant (also called an ICE warrant).

The Immigrant Legal Resources Center (ILRC) explains it this way: “An ‘ICE warrant’ is a form issued by certain immigration officers that names an allegedly deportable non-citizen and directs various federal immigration enforcement agents to arrest that individual.”

However, this sort of quasi-warrant does not authorize ICE to use force to effect an immediate arrest. It allows ICE agents to detain a suspected illegal immigrant for further investigation and possible arrest (if you’re confused, you’re not alone). The man and his 12-year-old son were in their car in their driveway and would not obey agents’ instructions to come out. The ICE agent used his vehicle to block the man’s car.

Who do you think would win the Presidency?

Now comes the “heroic” neighbors’ spontaneous actions. They made sure the illegal immigrant and his son had food and water. They even put more gas in the suspect’s car when he was getting low on fuel. Then, these neighbors — no doubt emboldened by incessant Democrat politicians, media, and activists’ anti-ICE rhetoric — formed a human chain between the man and his son and the ICE agents.

Empowered by the neo-Democrats’ irresponsible anti-cop rhetoric, these people see themselves as valiant. The integrity of the rule of law plays no part in their thought process — except to violate it — because they don’t like the law, and they refuse to change the law properly.

These individuals made sure the illegal immigrant and his son had food and water. They even put more gas in the suspect’s car when he was getting low on fuel.

The Democrats have decided that immigration law, as Congress has written it, offends them. So, as their politicians are teaching them, they not only feel it is their prerogative but also their obligation to nullify a congressionally ratified law and, apparently, with impunity.

ICE requested that local police respond. Since this was not an arrest warrant, the local officers could not assist ICE agents with an arrest but only, as we call it in the biz, stand by to assure the peace. (ICE sent this statement, in part, to Fox News about the incident, as the outlet reported: “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportation officers were seeking a convicted criminal alien ICE fugitive with an outstanding removal order in metro Nashville July 22 when they were encountered by a small group of protestors. Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of all persons involved, ICE personnel subsequently made the decision to depart without making an arrest to deescalate the situation.”)

Once again, Democrat lawmakers, leftist activists, and their establishment Republican allies are putting law enforcement agencies and officers in unnecessary conflict. This is reprehensible. Once again, the Left and media are condoning — even rewarding— law-breaking (by the illegal alien and by the “heroic” neighbors — obstructing).

Eventually, the agents gave up. What else could they do?

Not only do the obstructionists have the Democrat neo-socialists on their side, they also have the media. And that media will report on the law-breakers with all the sympathy they can muster and report on law enforcement with all the contempt they can manufacture.
