Williamson Vows to Remove Andrew Jackson’s Portrait if She’s Elected

The Oval Office will look a lot different if she makes it there, the self-help author promises

I am sure President Andrew Jackson, the seventh individual to hold the highest office in the land, would be devastated.

Knowing she doesn’t have any chance at all to win the 2020 Democratic nomination, author and new-age guru Marianne Williamson is trying to stretch her “15 minutes” of fame as much as she possibly can — which requires outrageous utterances so that the camera keeps pointing in her direction.

Such is the case with this latest stunt, in my opinion.

Williamson vowed to remove Jackson’s Oval Office portrait as “atonement” for the treatment of Native-Americans; she would also rescind military medals in an attempt to usher in a new era of American history.

If Williamson is serious, then she can next disband and outlaw the Democrat Party — which in much more recent times has done far worse to the African-American population.

But leftists don’t know or won’t acknowledge any of that.

Why? Because it doesn’t jive with today’s “narrative,” which keeps their slogan-chanting victim classes terrified and voting for them, as I see it.

(Remember when former President Barack Obama had the bust of Winston Churchill taken out of the Oval Office during his tenure? President Donald Trump promptly restored it.)

“Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson, calling for a national ‘atonement’ over the treatment of Native-Americans, vowed Monday to rescind medals of honor for those who fought against them and even take down President Andrew Jackson’s portrait from the Oval Office if she’s elected,” as Fox News reported.

“The spiritual author … called for a ‘new era of American history’ with Native-Americans during an appearance at the Frank LaMere Native American Presidential Forum.”

“Williamson has been in the bottom tier of 2020 candidates in recent polling,” the outlet also reported, “but nevertheless has built a national profile in the wake of viral debate performances. The self-help author cautioned the other candidates at the last debate that ‘wonkiness’ would not stop the ‘collectivized hatred’ of the president and would lead to ‘very dark days’ for Democrats.”

Fox also reported that at the Monday event, “Williamson stopped short of calling for financial reparations, which she supports for slavery. She called Native-American history a ‘more complicated situation’ than one that can be fixed with such a measure. She suggested the U.S. look to how Germany reconciled with Jews in the aftermath of the Holocaust as ‘a template of our national repair’ that could be used to make amends with Native-Americans.”

Thank goodness she only gets to talk for a little while longer on the national stage before the country forgets all of this.

I am tired of people trying to rewrite history.

“Williamson stopped short of calling for financial reparations, which she supports for slavery. She called Native-American history a ‘more complicated situation’ than one that can be fixed with such a measure.”

Love him or not, Jackson was a great general and may have done more to influence the outcome of the war had he lived longer. Democrats will do absolutely anything for a vote.
