Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), as is becoming a pattern, refused to answer reporters’ questions about her latest scandal — instead scurrying away to avoid controversy.

A New York Post reporter confronted the congresswoman outside a “Black Maternal Health” event being held at the University of Minnesota alongside fellow squad member, Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.).

The Post broke the story earlier this week that Dr. Beth Jordan Mynett had filed for divorce from her husband Tim Mynett, alleging in court documents that he carried out an affair and made a “declaration of love” for Omar.

Complicating matters for the progressive representative is the fact that Tim Mynett is a political consultant whose firm, E Street Group consulting, has been paid $230,000 since 2018 by Omar’s campaign.

As you can imagine, there are plenty of questions.

Omar, however, has no interest in answering them …

The Post reported, “Rep. Ilhan Omar dodged questions on Thursday about her alleged affair with a DC political consultant who’s on her payroll.”

“Instead of answering, Omar nervously made a beeline to make small talk with a police officer who was standing outside the … Mayo Memorial Auditorium [on campus].”

It is a far cry from the woman who presents herself as a firebrand for confrontation as a leading face of the resistance movement.

Why is she so afraid to answer questions, not just about this alleged affair, but about the campaign fraud implications?

Or the tax fraud she’s been accused of? Or even the immigration fraud she’s suspected of having engaged in? We’re sensing a pattern here.

Earlier this week, in an interview with WCCO, Omar briefly denied the affair but then had the audacity to suggest she shouldn’t have to answer questions pertaining to her personal life.

“No, I am not,” she insisted when asked if she was dating anyone.

“I have no interest in allowing the conversation about my personal life to continue and so I have no desire to discuss it,” she also said.

The problem is she made it more about her personal life when she allegedly funneled tens of thousands of dollars to her paramour.

Seems like only weeks ago when Omar was running away from reporters who were inquiring whether or not she may have committed tax fraud and married her own brother in an attempt to circumvent immigration laws.

Oh, wait … That was just weeks ago.

When asked by a reporter in Minneapolis why she refused to answer legitimate questions about alleged corruption, Omar responded, “Because they’re stupid questions.”
