The criminal attacks in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, have reignited efforts by many in the Democratic Party — as well as their funders and the media elite — to enact onerous gun control measures without regard for the constitutional rights afforded to all Americans.

Democratic candidates for president in 2020, for instance, have demanded swift action regardless of whether or not such action would violate the rights of law-abiding citizens.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) (shown above right) has said that, if elected to the White House in 2020, she would enact gun control through executive action.

She has even gone so far as to suggest sending the police to people’s homes to investigate whether they have guns that she would like banned.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said she is determined to eliminate the filibuster in the Senate to ensure the enaction of gun control.

Even Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) — often referred to as one of the moderate members in the race — is demanding that Congress be called into session to ban so-called “assault weapons.”

These calls to action are not being made in a vacuum.

Politicians who support anti-Second Amendment policies are rewarded with a long list of the wealthiest, entrenched interests in the country, which fund efforts to make sweeping gun control a reality.

In the last election cycle alone, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, one of the most militant pro-gun control voices in America, spent an astounding $112 million to defeat pro-gun rights Republicans and replace them with pro-gun control Democrats.

This alone dwarfs the spending of the media’s “bogeyman,” the National Rifle Association.

Bloomberg, of course, was not alone. California billionaire Tom Steyer spent another $123 million to advance the same cause.

Despite the narrative that the mainstream media spin, even pro-gun control groups vastly outspent pro-Second Amendment organizations in the last congressional election cycle, according to Open Secrets.

The anti-gunners are the ones loaded with cash — and they are spending it at will to deny ordinary Americans their constitutional rights.

Likewise, there is a network of nonprofits that are determined to push for a gun-grabbing scheme. One of the most prominent among them is The Arnold Foundation, which was founded by a former trader at Enron; that’s the failed energy company whose collapse led to the indictment, arrest, and conviction of billion-dollar executives.

Today, it has committed $50 million to push an anti-gun narrative.

The examples do not even take into account the untold hundreds of millions in corporate contributions pushed by television networks and mainstream media organizations like The New York Times, CNN, and MSNBC. Their voices drown out the voices of the people — those who legal and responsibly own firearms.

In short, supporters of the Second Amendment are outmanned and outgunned.

Anti-gun politicians love to claim that pro-Second Amendment organizations have purchased public support for gun rights. In reality, though, the anti-gunners are the ones loaded with cash — and they are spending it at will to deny ordinary Americans their constitutional rights.
