CNN’s Don Lemon Is Being Sued for Assault by a New York Bartender

A man is seeking unspecified damages for 'emotional pain and suffering' — this news comes on the heels of Chris Cuomo's viral video from this weekend

CNN’s Don Lemon (shown above right, beside Chris Cuomo) is in trouble.

Dustin Hice is taking Lemon to court and claiming the CNN host attacked him at a bar in the Hamptons during the summer of 2018.

Hice is seeking unspecified damages for “emotional pain and suffering.”

Let’s remember that many Democrats, in my view, play the game that a person is guilty until proven innocent — so, actually, no witnesses are needed, according to their belief that “we must believe the victim.”

Let’s hold them to their words, deeds, actions, and policies — that’s what I feel.

CNN just settled a huge lawsuit with former employees, which resulted in layoffs.

Will they settle this one, too?

Here’s the story, courtesy of The New York Post: “Dustin Hice says in his Suffolk County Supreme Court suit, which was filed over the weekend, that he was slinging drinks in July 2018 for The Old Stove Pub in Sagaponack when he and his coworkers decided to go out for drinks after work.”

“They headed to Murf’s Backstreet Tavern in Sag Harbor, where Hice ‘noticed a familiar face and realized that Mr. Lemon was also at the bar, seemingly enjoying a drink with his friends,’ the lawsuit says.”

“Don categorically denies these claims and this matter does not merit any further comment at this time.”

The plaintiff then “tried to get Mr. Lemon’s attention and offered to buy Mr. Lemon a drink … a vodka cocktail,” according to the filing.

But Don Lemon “denied” the plaintiff’s offer and said he was “just trying to have a good time,” as The Post reported.

The lawsuit then charges that “Mr. Lemon intensely pushed his fingers against Plaintiff’s face under Plaintiff’s nose, forcing Plaintiff’s head to thrust backward …  Mr. Lemon continued to shove his fingers into Plaintiff’s face with aggression and hostility.” (We left out some of the more unpleasant and frankly unprintable parts of this story.)

CNN is standing by Lemon at this time.

The network released this statement: “The plaintiff in this lawsuit has previously displayed a pattern of contempt for CNN on his social media accounts. This claim follows his unsuccessful threats and demands for an exorbitant amount of money from Don Lemon. Don categorically denies these claims and this matter does not merit any further comment at this time.”
