Former Vice President Joe Biden and a leading 2020 Democratic candidate got it wrong again.
Biden told the media on Saturday night that he was still the vice president of the United States when the high school tragedy in Parkland, Florida, occurred.
Here’s the problem with that.
That incident happened in February 2018 — more than a year after he and former President Barack Obama left office.

Biden, who is 76, added, “Those kids in Parkland came up to see me when I was vice president.”
He then tried to shame elected officials with a tale he told.
He claimed that members of Congress were “basically cowering, not wanting to see them. They did not want to face it on camera.”
As Bloomberg noted in a piece about his comments, this was “the latest gaffe by the Democratic presidential front-runner.”
“The former vice president was making a point about the changing conversation” around the possession of weapons and other related issues in this country, the outlet also noted.
This beats the tale Biden once told about flying to Bosnia with Hillary Clinton, when they “landed under sniper fire.”

And that they both had to “run with their heads down” to get to their vehicles to take them to the base … Hmm.
The left-wing media are beginning to sour on Joe, in my view. I think they want someone younger and much more progressive. So expect another four years of Trump. The media believe they shape the voters’ opinions — but they don’t see the larger picture.

As Bloomberg also pointed out in its article about the Biden incident this weekend, “An official with the Biden campaign said the former vice president was thinking of the [tragedy] at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, when he misspoke.”
That incident occurred in December 2012.
