It all started around 4:35 p.m. ET on Wednesday afternoon — and an active situation is still underway, according to reports.

“Several police officers were hospitalized after being [wounded] in Philadelphia’s Nicetown-Tioga section on Wednesday, according to officials,” as the Washington Examiner reported.

“At least four officers were hit by gunfire on the 3700 block of North 15th Street, including one shot in the hand, another in the head, and one in their arms.”

“Officers were sent to the Temple University hospital.”

Two officers were released from the hospital after their wounds were treated, according to reports from Fox News at approximately 9:45 p.m.

The suspect is apparently still holed up in a building; officials are attempting to resolve the situation without further violence.
