A damning video of former President Barack Obama surfaced recently — and it’s exposing just how hypocritical he really is, in our view.

Fox News reported last month that the 2014 video shows Obama warning Central American migrant families, “Do not send your children to the borders … If they do make it, they’ll get sent back.”

“That is our direct message to the families in Central America: Do not send your children to the borders,” declared Obama.

“If they do make it, they’ll get sent back. More importantly, they might not make it.”

The warning was one of many tough statements Obama made about immigration around that time.

Those comments are in stark contrast to the way Democrats are talking about immigration now, as more and more left-wing lawmakers are trying to open up the border as much as possible.

In 2010, Obama said, “The presence of so many illegal immigrants makes a mockery of all those who are going through the process of immigrating legally.”

This dramatically differs from a comment Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) made recently.

“We should not be criminalizing mamas and babies trying to flee violence at home or trying to build a better future,” said the 2020 Democratic candidate.

In 2011, Obama said American border agents should be able to “stem the flow of illegal crossings and speed the return of those who do cross over.”

“Undocumented workers broke our immigration laws, and I believe that they must be held accountable,” he added.

Yet Julián Castro, a member of Obama’s Cabinet and also a 2020 candidate, recently called for decriminalizing illegal border crossings.

Castro even criticized Beto O’Rourke for supporting decriminalization only for those fleeing violence and seeking asylum.

These days, Democrats everywhere love to bash President Donald Trump for the very policies that Obama put in place.

Through it all, Obama has stayed completely silent — letting Trump take the fall for things that he knows he did as well.

Democrats have been all too happy to take the bait and allow Trump and his supporters to be vilified for immigration policies that were imposed and enforced by their beloved Obama.

Earlier this month, Trump said in an interview that he “inherited separation from President Obama” (referring to family separations) — and added, “I was the one that ended it.”

Obama is letting Trump take the fall for things that he knows that he did as well.

“When I became president, President Obama had a separation policy. I didn’t have it,” Trump said, as USA Today and other outlets reported.

“He had it. I brought the families together. I’m the one that put them together.”
