A new book, “Justice on Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation and the Future of the Supreme Court,” will be out on Tuesday.

And it’s already causing a stir.

The book recounts how first lady Melania Trump warned President Donald Trump that Dr. Christine Blasey Ford was not being truthful when she accused then-Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her back when they were both teenagers in high school.

“You know that woman is lying, don’t you?” Melania Trump told the president, in a scene told in the book, as The New York Post details.

Conservative authors Mollie Hemingway, a senior editor at The Federalist, and Carrie Severino, chief counsel and policy director of the Judicial Crisis Network, claim Melania Trump’s sentiments tapped into a largely underreported part of the Ford story: that “millions” of “women and men” did not believe Ford’s testimony against Trump’s nominee for the high court.

Under oath, Ford — a California-based psychologist — claimed at the eleventh hour that Kavanaugh was guilty of sexual misconduct against her decades ago when they were both at a high school party in the Washington, D.C., area.

And though there were numerous “holes in her story,” say the authors of the new book, “the media clung to [the] details” that Ford shared.

The outrageous accusations by Ford completely upended the final days of Kavanaugh’s Senate confirmation process when she publicly accused him of “trying to attack me and remove my clothing” in an article for The Washington Post.

Trump nominated Kavanaugh in July 2018 to replace former Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, who retired from the bench.

Kavanaugh vehemently and consistently denied the allegations against him, as well as others that later emerged as well.

The FBI investigated, but there was no corroborating evidence against Kavanaugh — and Trump steadfastly stood by his nominee.

Only one GOP senator — Alaska’s Sen. Lisa Murkowski — chose not to vote for Kavanaugh.

The rest of the Republican senators ultimately unified around him.

The Senate confirmed Kavanaugh by a vote of 50-48 on Oct. 6, 2018.

The new book is based on interviews with more than 100 people — including the president, several Supreme Court justices, high-ranking White House and Department of Justice officials, and dozens of senators, according to press materials provided to LifeZette ahead of the book’s publication.

Christine Blasey Ford, by the way, donated to Democratic causes. A registered Democrat, Ford, now in her early 50s, donated to liberal causes and groups such as ActBlue, as The Wall Street Journal reported last year.

ActBlue is “a nonprofit, building fundraising technology for the Left” with a mission “to democratize power and help small-dollar donors make their voices heard in a real way,” according to its website.

The new book is out July 9 from Regnery Publishing.
