Look Which Democrat Told the Rest of America to Shut Up (Unless People Spout Her Views)

She’s one of the “squad.”

She’s a liberal from Massachusetts.

She was elected to the House in the 2018 midterms.

She apparently feels that she, and only she, is always right and that no one else can have an opinion.

And the words she uttered a few days ago are still reverberating.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) essentially sent a message to the rest of America that suggests people should sit down and be quiet — unless they want to spout the same exact opinions and same views as she does.

She told all Americans recently, “We don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice. We don’t need black faces that don’t want to be a black voice.” Wow.

Here’s what she said in full on this matter at a Netroots Nation conference last weekend.

“I don’t want to bring a chair to an old table. This is the time to shake the table. This is the time to redefine that table. Because if you’re going to come to this table, all of you who have aspirations of running for office — if you’re not prepared to come to that table and represent that voice, don’t come, because we don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice,” said Pressley.

“We don’t need black faces that don’t want to be a black voice. We don’t need Muslims that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. We don’t need queers that don’t want to be a queer voice. If you’re worried about being marginalized and stereotyped, please don’t even show up because we need you to represent that voice.”

That message — and the implications of it — need to sink in for awhile.

March in lockstep with her and her ilk, in other words, or don’t show up at all.

Conservatives are pushing back.

Candace Owens, for example, appeared on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” on July 17 this week and said, “I can’t think of a single comment — and you can feel free to correct me — that any of them [in the Democrat squad] have said [that’s] positive about America or Americans. They’re here asking for radical reform on the basis that this country is fundamentally irredeemable. That is the message. And here, what’s problematic about the way that they are conveying their messages, they are actually falling into really bad stereotypes of what it means to be a person of color in this country.”

“A really bad stereotype about black Americans is that we are gang bangers,” Owens continued, “and that we’re ignorant, and that we threaten people, and we’re violent. We have Ayanna Pressley tweeting to Kellyanne Conway, ‘Hi, Becky’ — remember that racist pejorative that the media roundly ignored?”

Owens added, “Congress is not Bloods versus the Crips, OK? It’s Republicans and Democrats coming together to try to come up with something that can make Americans feel like we are working toward a solution in this country. These women are doing the opposite.”

I hear that @AyannaPressley says that she doesn’t need any more “black faces” that don’t want to be mouthpieces for the Democrat Party.

To Pressley of Massachusetts, any American’s voice, views, position, story or background won’t matter unless that person touts the line that she touts.

Are the people of the 7th district in Massachusetts going to re-elect her after these statements, after this stance? (Her district is apparently the state’s only district where the majority of residents are not white — so this point may be moot.)

But it seems likely her membership in the “squad” has now emboldened this individual to utter such remarks with impunity.

“Pressley has totally tied freedom of speech and expression to skin color,” noted David Kamioner in OpsLens.

“Gone are the dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King, where people are individuals and judged on their character, not their color.”

Kamioner, whose writing has also appeared in LifeZette, is veteran of military service in this country, having spent time with U.S. Army Intelligence, the Pershing Nuclear Brigade, and the First Infantry Division.

“In her world of never-ending, ill-tempered victimhood, race takes precedence over everything,” he also noted.

“Gone are the dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King, where people are individuals and judged on their character, not their color.”

“It is replaced with a deeply racist vision that requires a color test for opinions. If you’re brown or black, you’d better tow the line — or Miss Ayanna’s overseers like Big Nancy [Pelosi] will take the whip to you and make you pay for being so uppity.”
