GOP Senator on Ocasio-Cortez: ‘Someone Needs to Tell Her the Voices in Her Head Aren’t Real’

I think whether or not these guys will ever admit it, they’ve learned a few things from President Donald Trump.

The American people want to hear honesty, frankness, and direct responses for a change.

Lawmakers need to tell us how they truly feel — no matter how they think the polls will respond or how many people will call them a liar, or worse — and we will respect it.

KLSA News 12 reporter Jeff Ferrell caught up with Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) recently — and the senator brought it home when talking about some of the out-of-this-world comments from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).

“Let me be frank,” declared the Republican senator. “Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez … someone needs to tell her that the voices in her head are not real.”

“She says that the men and women of our Border Patrol and our authorities are intentionally running concentration camps on the southern border. She needs to go to the Holocaust Museum and see what a concentration camp is,” he added.

“The problem we’re having at the border — a problem that Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez has helped create — is that we have 5,000 people a day, not a week, not a month, a day, coming into this country. We don’t have a place to put them.”

“The Department of Homeland Security is out of money and the congresswoman knows that,” he also said. “She says the conditions are inhumane. But yet, when we send a bill over to her to vote to improve those conditions, she voted no. Her hypocrisy is breathtaking. This is the bottom line. Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez believes that illegal immigration is a moral good. And she believes that the border is just a nuisance and it should be open, and I don’t think that’s what America believes.”

It’s infectious as well, as the vast majority of leftists read about the nonsense spewed by the likes of the “occasional cortex” and take it as gospel rather than researching the facts, as the Hispanic Advocacy group of pastors did.

AOC may want to appear to be a “heroine,” but it does not speak well of her intellect or her ability to influence the U.S. government in the way she is attempting to do so.

There are new heights of anti-American absurdity here by members of the Democrat Party. It all seems to be part of their continuing plan to “fundamentally remake America,” in my view.

The trouble is, there are no consequences today for those who lie. Democrats advance leftism by making wild, even ridiculous claims — hello, Steele dossier! — and repeating them until bits of the ideas begin to take root and grow.

The Covington kids, the Kavanaugh hearings, the Smollett case … In all of these cases and more, there appears to be the desire to believe the worst about America so that Democrats can get power back. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) have made a new career of it.

I overheard some kids’ millennial friends talking not long ago — and one said, “Oh, I could never be a Republican. They’re racists and fascists.”

Ironically, this is precisely what the Left has become, in my opinion.
