President Donald Trump, facing criticism from a group of progressive House Democrats, has to “stick to his ground,” he “has to emphasize that patriotism is not racism,” and “he has to bring up the specific examples of things that people say and things that people do,” said former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich to Fox News host Laura Ingraham of “The Ingraham Angle” last night.

The president is defending the country, in his mind, in every way possible, noted Gingrich — culturally, militarily, politically and more — from those who constantly speak out against it and, in fact, have refused to support it and even declared their hatred of it in one way or another.

Contrary to the president’s actions to strengthen this country — and contrary to the stance of the Democratic “squad” of four members of the House — Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) said the other day she feels bullied by Trump.

Said Tlaib, “I’m dealing with the biggest bully I’ve ever had to deal with in my lifetime,” to Gayle King of CBS News the other morning, “and trying to push back on that … This is a distraction … [This] is against our core American values.”

Keep in mind this is the same lawmaker who, after she was elected in the 2018 midterms, made a horrendous declaration to a roomful of supporters.

Speaking at a MoveOn event in Washington, D.C., just hours after she was sworn into office, Tlaib — the first Palestinian-American woman in Congress — said, “When your son looks at you and said ‘Mama, look, you won — bullies don’t win.’ And I said, ‘Baby they don’t, because we’re gonna go in there and we’re gonna impeach the mother******.”

But it’s somehow “convenient” now for this House Democrat and others to try to play the victim.

“They want to immunize themselves from any criticism,” pointed out Ingraham, “substantive or otherwise.”

“This is straight out of the textbook” for radicals in this country, added Gingrich to Ingraham on Tuesday night. “The Left reverts to racism when they can’t defend anything” — and when it serves them to do so, he said.

“They want to immunize themselves from any criticism,” pointed out Ingraham, “substantive or otherwise.”

She also said she takes them seriously, as she thinks they “have plans and they want to carry out their plans for the entire country.”

“And I guess we just [have to] see how that works out,” she added.
